David's new trick!

One exciting achievement Saturday for David was that he learned to ride a bike without training wheels! His training wheels were very crooked so he was practically riding without them so I thought we would try it for a little while, not thinking he would actually do it. He took off after about 3 tries. He still needs a push to get started, but then he is off. He won't be 4 for another two weeks! We are in for a lot of excitement with this boy!

Marissa's Baptism

Marissa celebrated her 8th birthday while on our vacation and was able to be baptized by her Dad in the lake in Oklahoma. She wore the "Westover" baptism dress that Grandma Marilyn made, the same dress that my sisters and I wore and all of Marissa's girl Westover cousins wore at their baptisms. It was a very special occasion with all of our Stotts family there. Here are a few pictures that captured the beautiful event. Thank you to Uncle Adam Pippin for the beautiful photographs.

Texas, Oklahoma and other summer fun

We enjoyed our first summer in Minnesota. Whenever it gets really hot I just remind the kids that it will be 15 below 0 in a few months and to soak it all up! We had a memorable trip to Arlington, Texas to start our Stotts family reunion and witness nephew Jorgen Buer's blessing. We loved playing at Hurricane Harbor on the water slides and swimming in the Buer's new pool. We visited with extended family and friends in Texas and then headed to Oklahoma for our adventure (as David calls it). In Oklahoma we loved riding the 4 wheelers, especially the little ones; they were just right for the little kids. David and Marissa mastered them and rode them all around the field by the lake.
Amber and Megan learned how to drive the big ones.
We spent our time fishing (Steven got his fishing merit badge along with his cousin Grayson), swimming, playing games and hanging out with family. It was great

Trying to figure out this blog thing

Okay, so I am trying to figure out this blog thing. I have seen some very creative blogs and they are so fun to read. I might as well join in and share our family's stories and experiences. Wish me luck!
