Two more days in Orlando

Our next park was Epcot.  It was educational and fun.

Mission Space

French Acrobats

Gelato-Yum!

Our last day we visited Sea World.

The Shamu show was exciting.

This dolphin was playing peek a boo with us!

The kids loved petting the rays.  They got good and wet while doing it, too.

We kept singing "Barbara Manatee" here (a Veggietales song)

We enjoyed the hotel pool on our last night.

The first two days in Orlando

We loved visiting Orlando in the middle of Minnesota's frigid winter.  The kids were enthralled with palm trees and we all loved the sunshine and mild weather.  Our first stop was Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.  We loved all of the rides and ended up getting wet.  The Wizarding world of Harry Potter was especially cool. If it looks like Marissa has a black eye in the pictures, it is because she does.  She and David's knee got a little too close a few days before we left.

David's favorite ride of the day!

Hogwarts-awesome!
Our 2nd day started out with Kelly's Disney half marathon.  He finished at Epcot and then met us at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

Kelly just finished his half marathon at Disney World! He ran it in just under 2 hours and 3 minutes.   He got a gold Donald Duck medal. Follow this link to see a video and pictures of him finishing the race.  Look for him crossing at 13-17 seconds into the video on the right hand side.

David's peculiarity

I open my freezer and this is what I see.  I guess David likes his blankie to be cold.  Strange kid.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

We got tickets to see the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for Christmas.  Here are pictures from the event at the Ordway Theater in downtown St. Paul.

Christmas day

A month of performances

December was a month of performances around here.  Following are pictures from various concerts, recitals, etc. from December.

Marissa played the piano at the beginning of her band concert while people were finding their seats.

Marissa's first band concert.
After the band performed, the 5th grade classes sang several songs.

Steven played the trumpet for his band concert.

Amber and Marissa played a duet of "Beauty and the Beast" for their piano recital
Megan played "What Child is This" for her violin recital

The Bishopric played "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" for the ward Christmas party

Megan and Maria sang "Baby What you gonna be?" for the ward party, too

Steven sang in the Middle school Men's Choir
