I open my freezer and this is what I see. I guess David likes his blankie to be cold. Strange kid.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
We got tickets to see the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for Christmas. Here are pictures from the event at the Ordway Theater in downtown St. Paul.
A month of performances
December was a month of performances around here. Following are pictures from various concerts, recitals, etc. from December.
Marissa played the piano at the beginning of her band concert while people were finding their seats. |

Blizzard in Minnesota
We had record snowfall Saturday, about 18 inches in 24 hours, and today we are digging out. It is the most snow we have ever seen. The subzero temperatures haven't kept the kids in the house. They have had fun making snow caves and trying to walk through the snow. Here is a video and some pictures from the weekend. Winter in Minnesota, you gotta love it!
Clearing the walkway. Thank you girls!
Megan, David and neighbor Sam at the snow cave moments before it collapsed!
Steven in his snow cave.
Marissa is all bundled up on our nice cleared walkway! The temperature was 0 degrees with -20 windchill!
Megan and Amber discovered it was just easier to lay on the snow instead of try to walk on it. You sink up to your knee when you walk on the snow!

Summer fun!
So this has been a fun and busy summer. So busy that I didn't take the time to blog about it. So here is our summer in pictures, hopefully in chronological order with a few descriptions. Enjoy!
A visit from the Stantons for 4th of July!
Amber and Megan were on the same summer soccer team.
Steven attended Camp Grey Wolf, a leadership camp.
Family Reunion time! We had back to back reunions this summer. It was great! The Westover Reunion was in Heber City, Utah and the Stotts Reunion was at Aspen Grove, a BYU alumni camp. We had a blast and loved visiting with family!

The whole Westover family! |
We said goodbye Saturday morning and then went to Aspen Grove!
The whole Stotts Family! |
The kids loved being in their age groups doing all sort of fun activities.
While the kids were in their age groups, Maria and Kelly did the high ropes course and hiked Mt. Timpanogas!
Uncle Adam took Amber's senior pictures while we were at Aspen Grove |
Megan and Steven at the Family Dance! |
David showed us his moves at the dance! |
We drove through Yellowstone National Park on the way home and saw some amazing sights and animals. We enjoyed all of it except the stomach flu that went through the family while we were there.

At Mammoth Hot Springs |
We got home from Utah and left one day later for Girls Camp in Nauvoo, Illinois. Maria went along as an assistant cook. Fun!

The last weeks of summer were spent around home and enjoying Minnesota.
At the Minnesota State Fair! What a party! |
We finished off the summer with an evening of theater: WICKED! |
